iPod/iTunes Tips

The iPod and iTunes have made buying, converting and playing music portably much easier than alternative solutions. However iPods still give a number of Baby Boomers fits when they first purchase or upgrade their devices. Here are some tips to remember.

1. Don't connect your iPod if iTunes is already open on your PC as most of the time, iTunes won't recognize the iPod and you will wonder why you can't sync the player.

2. Make sure your iPod is unlocked meaning you don't see orange by the lock/unlock switch. If it is locked, you won't be able to sync. Many a cuss word has been spoken due to this situation!

3. Don't allow for simultaneous downloads to occur if you plan on downloading movies. I once purchased 3 movies and wondered by an hour later I couldn't watch any of them. iTunes was splitting my bandwidth over 3 large downloads.
